After updating the BIOS in an Intel R440LX, system fails to boot or takes
forever to boot.
Some new systems monitor the output from the power supply and may disable
features or won't boot at all. The BIOS update may tighten the tolerance on the
power supply, making a previously acceptable power supply, out of tolerance.
To avoid this problem, the power supply being used should be verified as
being on the Intel Approved list. Power Supplies that are not approved for use,
may actually be inadequate for the task in some systems.
